Agent tool routers and Tillpad
A hosted tool router sends an agent's calls into a catalog of third-party apps. Tillpad stores files and notes, runs search, receives email, and calls an HTTPS URL on a schedule. For developers comparing tools for AI agents. Pro is $9 a month.
How a hosted tool router usually works
A hosted tool router accepts a tool call from your app, an API key, or an MCP client, then forwards it to a catalog of toolkits. Those catalogs usually include connected accounts for third-party apps, and triggers that run when something happens in an app.
A hosted MCP connector is that same catalog over MCP. The client talks to one hosted endpoint. Sign-in is often OAuth inside the client, or a bearer token the client sends on each call. The connector then exposes actions from the host's app directory as tools.
Tillpad's MCP server is https://tillpad.dev/mcp. It expects Authorization: Bearer and a tp_ key. It does not implement OAuth. The OAuth discovery URLs on this host return 404, and the server card lists bearer only. The tools cover usage and budget, keys, key-value storage, memory scopes, file and note indexing, search, inboxes, and schedules. Tillpad does not host a third-party app catalog and does not sign agents into other companies' apps.
How hosted routers are usually priced
Hosted tool routers and hosted MCP connectors usually meter a tool call, a task, or a trigger event against the host's own plan. A plan often includes a monthly allowance. Past that allowance, calls either stop until the cycle resets or continue up to a usage cap, depending on the plan.
That unit belongs to the host. A Tillpad operation is a different meter, so the two bills measure different work.
Tillpad pricing on this site
Human Pro is $9 per month. It includes 10,000 key-value operations, 100 MB of storage, 5,000 indexing units, 2,000 searches, 500 inbound emails, and 5,000 outbound HTTP attempts per month. Usage past the included amount is metered until the hard cap, which is 10 times the included amount for human Pro. GET /api/config publishes these overage unit prices: $0.0001 per extra key-value operation, $0.05 per extra GB of storage, $0.0005 per extra index unit, and $0.001 per extra search. Inbound email and outbound HTTP also have Stripe overage prices on human Pro. This page does not quote a per-unit dollar amount for those two because /api/config does not publish one.
Agent prepaid Pro is $9 for 30 days or $24 for 90 days, paid with machine-pay. It has the same included monthly quota, no Stripe overage, and a hard cap at the included amount unless you buy a top-up. Top-ups exist only for key-value operations ($1 for 10,000) and storage ($0.05 for 1 GB), and they require active Pro. Details are on pricing. Human Pro can run into metered overage up to a hard cap. Agent prepaid Pro stops at the included quota, plus the two top-up SKUs. See spending caps.

Questions people ask
Does Tillpad include a catalog of third-party apps?
No. Tillpad stores files and notes, runs search, receives email, and runs scheduled HTTPS calls. It does not provide a toolkit catalog or connected accounts for other companies' apps.
Is a router tool call the same as a Tillpad operation?
No. A hosted tool router usually counts a tool call, a task, or a trigger. Tillpad meters storage, index chunks, searches, inbound emails, outbound HTTP, and key-value operations separately.
